Surf course
PORTO SURF SCHOOL offers surfing lessons for participants aged 6 to 66, welcoming all skill levels. Whether you’ve never surfed before or have been riding waves for years, our surf coaches adapt their teaching to your individual abilities. They’ll help you learn, improve, refine, or perfect your surfing technique.
Beginner
Want to finally learn how to surf? Have you been dreaming of riding the waves for a long time? Then now is the perfect moment—welcome to our beginner course! Our professional and friendly team will guide you step by step through the essential fundamentals of surfing.
Intermediate
Have you taken a surfing course or gained some experience on a surfboard? Are you confident with white-water take-offs and ready for the next level? Then our intermediate course is perfect for you. Here, you’ll strengthen your fundamentals and practice your first maneuvers in unbroken waves.
Advanced
Is take-off no longer a problem for you, and can you ride unbroken waves safely? Then you’re ready for our advanced course. Here, you’ll dive into the finer points of surfing. Your coach will work with you individually, refining your technique and identifying your strengths and areas for improvement.
Private
Alongside our regular surf courses, we also offer private lessons. With up to two participants, you’ll receive personalized training tailored to your level. Intensive in-water coaching helps you reach your goals more effectively. Three hours of private lessons (one or two people) cost €180.
Surf Beaches
Porto is a vibrant hotspot for surfers. Within a 30-kilometer radius, you’ll find more than 25 beaches delivering excellent waves—perfect for everyone from complete beginners to seasoned pros.
Transfer
Every day, our surf vans leave from the Porto city center and our Surf Lodge in Bonfim, bringing you to a beach with perfect learning conditions and a stunning backdrop for a day at the sea.
Equipment
For your surf course, you’ll be equipped with a surfboard and a properly fitted wetsuit. Beginners train with professional softboards that offer extra stability and safety in the water. Intermediate and advanced surfers receive either a hardboard or a softboard—carefully chosen to match your skill level, height, and weight.
