Surf Lodge
Your surf camp accommodation in Porto is our Surf Lodge, a place where like-minded travelers connect and feel at home from the very first moment. The lodge combines a laid-back surf vibe with urban flair and subtle retro elegance. Design classics blend with modern accents, while warm materials like wood, rattan, and unique vintage pieces create a cozy, personal atmosphere full of charm and character.

Location
The Porto Surf Lodge is located in Bonfim, one of Porto’s trendiest neighborhoods. This laid-back, authentic district lies just outside the typical tourist path, yet the historic center and its highlights are only a short distance away. Surf beaches are also within easy reach—our surf vans take you to the region’s best spots in just 20 to 40 minutes each day.
Bonfim is a vibrant neighborhood loved for its cozy cafés, craft-beer pubs, excellent restaurants, art galleries, and unique shops, all reflecting Porto’s creative spirit. Traditional Portuguese architecture sits alongside modern buildings and elegant villas along wide, tree-lined avenues.
The area is well connected: the nearest metro station is 700 meters away (just three stops to the historic center), a bus stop is only 100 meters from the Surf Lodge, and an Uber downtown takes under 10 minutes for around 5 EUR.
Surf Lessons
With our Surf Camp package, we offer surf lessons for everyone aged 6 to 66, welcoming all skill levels. Whether it’s your first time on a board or you’ve been riding waves for years, our friendly, experienced surf instructors tailor each surf lesson to you. With patience and care, they help beginners get started and guide more experienced surfers to refine their technique and challenge themselves.
Surf classes are small, with a maximum of eight participants per surf coach, giving you plenty of personalized attention. Depending on the waves and tides, you’ll enjoy either two 1.5-hour lessons or one 3-hour surf session per day. Every surf course starts from the Surf Lodge, and our instructors pick the best surf beach for the day’s conditions, ensuring a safe, fun, and truly unforgettable surfing experience.
Surfing in the North of Portugal
Porto and its surrounding area are a vibrant surf hotspot, with over 25 beaches within 35 km offering waves for both beginners and experienced surfers. The Costa Verde coastline features long, often deserted beaches and world-class surf—without the crowded line-ups. Surf spots in the Porto region, including Espinho, Matosinhos, Leça da Palmeira, and Azurara, deliver waves that rival international standards. From our Surf Lodge, the best breaks are just a short drive away, making Porto the perfect base for a surf trip that blends top-quality waves with exceptional city experiences.
